the theme — body & environment
The relationship between body and environment — between the performer’s gesture and the space they inhabit — is the core of Movimentale 2026. a relationship expressed through two complementary natures.
The natural environment, in which the body is not a master but part of a larger, ancient, and living system. and the built environment — cities, architectures, non-places — man-made spaces layered with meaning: power, history, exclusion, belonging.
We encourage works in which the choice of location is not incidental but necessary, and in which the performer’s body and the space share an authentic, tense, poetic, or political relationship.
The selected videos will be screened on 1st- 4th June 2026 at the Capodimonte museum in Naples
All selected films will be eligible to receive the jury prize and an audience special mention award.

Technical requirements
Maximum duration: 5 minutes file format: .mp4 or .mov
Resolution: hd 1920×1080, h.264
Subtitles: english subtitles required if dialogues or spoken text are present photos: at least 3 high-resolution stills must be attached (with photo credits)
In case of spoken languages, the films must have subtitles in english terms & conditions
By submitting their work, participants declare they hold all rights necessary for the public screening of the video, releasing movimentale festival from any legal liability.
By submitting their work, participants grant the festival permission to screen it at official venues and to use posters, trailers, and promotional materials for festival communication purposes.
