FoRest (Fundamentals of Observation, Rest, Experimentation, Sustainability and Transit) is a 4-day residential laboratory that brings together dance exploration (aquatic bodywork, movement research, C.I. ), hiking & nature immersion.

The encounter takes place in Guy Guy beach, a wild territory and natural reserve accessible only by foot or by boat.

Conceived as a small-scale collective experience, FoRest invites a group of participants to share time living, moving and creating together in close dialogue with the surrounding ecosystem.

Through dance explorations, attentive walking and somatic practices, the laboratory cultivates a space for listening, creative intimacy and embodied research.

One of the fundamental aspects of the retreat takes place in the water. Through Aguahara’s aquatic bodywork sessions, the sea becomes both a studio and a collaborator. The water offers a space where gravity is softened, perception is expanded, and relational movement can emerge through trust, support and fluidity.

Approaching the human body as an amphibious system, the laboratory explores the creative potential of moving between elements. The interplay between land and sea invites participants to re-sense the body’s adaptive intelligence and to engage with nature as a living partner in processes of attention, rest and transformation.

FoRest is open to movers, artists, thinkers and anyone interested in embodied research and shared experiences of creativity in nature.

We reach GuyGuy beach after a four-hour hike, exploring dynamic meditation and various approaches to somatic and sonic forms along the way. Once at the beach, we set up camp for four days and three nights, practising together and sharing daily tasks. Temperatures range from 23 to 30°C, so a sleeping bag is usually enough.
