SCDT, Central Florida’s preeminent professional dance company, is hiring both female and male dancers for our upcoming season and beyond. SCDT presents diverse and compelling performances year-round – locallly, nationally, and internationally. This year, we are using our Annual Summer Dance Intensive at ACA in New Smyrna Beach as an audition. Dancers that are invited to audition attend the same workshop at no charge.
Where: Atlantic Center for the Arts, New Smyrna Beach, Florida, US
When: July 18, 19, 20, 21, and/or 22.
If you are unable to attend in person, please submit a video and resume to the same email address. SCDT hires dancers who possess strong modern dance technique and competence in ballet and improvisation. A degree in dance and/or previous professional experience is strongly preferred. All company dancers must be 21 years or older by date of hire, unless hired as an apprentice (age 19-20). SCDT dancers are paid for all performances, rehearsals, and community outreach work, and each dancer is eligible for discounted Pilates, Yoga, Barre, and Aerial classes, reduced rates on Massage Therapy, and complimentary Chiropractic care.
