Jonathan Fredrickson’s work develops at the intersection of dance, storytelling and interdisciplinary practice. His approach is rooted in a strong performative sensibility and in the search for movement that can reveal something human, personal and emotionally resonant.
Drawing from more than 16 years of international performance experience with companies including Limón Dance Company, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Jonathan brings into the studio a wide and diverse artistic background shaped by encounters with choreographers such as Pina Bausch, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin and many others.
During the week, dancers will be invited to explore movement, presence, interpretation and the relationship between physical material and storytelling, within a process that values individuality, curiosity and artistic awareness.
