the rome international dance academy is an international course aimed at dancers from 15 years old and up.
the r.i.d.a. is an inclusive, proactive and highly educational environment and lays the foundation for this transformation, through a constructive approach, creative thinking, empathy and human values that lead to improvement and growth of the artist.
the international r.i.d.a. path guides the dancer to get the most out of his/her abilities, creating an evolutionary learning path according to the current context, which passes from the study of techniques to research and artistic creation.
being a dance artist today requires a thorough preparation that includes technique, research, improvisation and performance skills. the dancer has evolved into a “maker”, with creative and analytical skills, and an openness to all artistic forms. at r.i.d.a., the work starts with body awareness, strengthening individual skills and preparing students to face the world of contemporary dance.
goals
develop the artistic values of tradition, innovation, diversity and integrity; a sense of discipline, consistency and critical analysis.
to put the student in contact with international realities and prepare him for auditions.
to challenge the established paradigms and interrupt the traditional flows, to stimulate critical reflections in order to prepare the student for his/her own evolution as an artist.
open new perspectives, stimulate change and inner development by establishing a productive relationship of trust between teachers and students.
learn to support criticism and turn it into constructive corrections. Introduce the student to the world of choreography.
