Choreomentourism is not a method but a field of practice – an inquiry into how movement thinks and how choreographic meaning emerges through sensorial and relational experience. It reimagines the “mentor” not as an authority, but as one who circulates, listens, shares, and moves with others.

Where: Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany

When: 18 & 19 July 2026

Deadline for applications: 12 July 2026

By combining “mentor” with “tour” (movement, journey, rotation), guidance is understood as relational circulation rather than fixed direction. The workshop draws on ongoing research that invites participants to trace transitions between sensing and acting-to move with what cannot yet be defined. It is less about composing dance and more about recognizing dance as a phenomenon of sensing, where the body’s force, will, and receptivity are continuously reorganized through encounters with the environment. Through this circulation, movement becomes thought and thought returns to motion, allowing choreography to extend beyond physicality into the social, political, and ecological resonances of the body in the world.
