In the frame of DISCOVER SOZO – we invite participants to come and join this WEEK WORKSHOP with Maya and Roy Carroll

For the whole week Maya and Roy Carroll will be giving an intensive workshop to the SOZO students. We would like to open this up from participants from outside.
The Instrument practice offers an in-depth physicality and exploration of body and mind in our compositional work. It is a study for dance-making; through movement, motion, precision and imagination. Guiding themes for the practice are: tangibility, space, time, musicality and narrative – all through which we draw upon choreographic and human interactions. As we work with present – choices, our perception becomes alert; as our actions and images encounter freedom and discipline with joy and appreciation. Joining these themes in the process of dancing / performing, the work draws upon human nature, environments and choreographic narratives.
Roy and Maya will conduct this workshop together, in which they engage their collaborative experience within a process of group learning and dancing with live sound / music.
20 hours of Workshop.
Daily 4 hours workshop split into 2 x 2 hours with a lunch break between.
Eventually we can help you find a cheap place to stay.
On Thursday 19th at 19:00 – Maya Carroll will perform her Solo “FLAG OF EVE”

You will receive an invoice which needs to be paid before the workshop to secure the place. We are limiting the places for outside participants. it is recommended to apply sooner than later.
