When: August 6 – 14, 2025

Early bird – April 30; Second phase – July 25

The 7th Edition of the Solo & CI Tyrol Festival.
This year’s theme, “The Very Beginning,” revisits the origins of Contact Improvisation (CI) from the 1970s, celebrating its rich history and evolution.

We are honored to feature Daniel Lepkoff as our headliner—one of the original artists who danced alongside Steve Paxton and a lifelong, legendary figure in the dance world. His presence offers a rare opportunity to connect with CI’s living history through one of its foundational voices.

Throughout the week, participants will engage in a variety of activities, including:

Dance Classes: Daily sessions exploring the fundamentals and advanced techniques of CI.

Lectures and Open Talks: Discussions delving into the history, philosophy, and future directions of CI.

Teacher Performances: Showcases by experienced CI practitioners, including a special performance by Daniel Lepkoff.

Jams with Live Music: Open improvisational sessions accompanied by live musicians, fostering spontaneous creativity.

The festival provides a vibrant platform to connect with inspiring individuals from around the world, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Alpine region.

We look forward to dancing with you in Innsbruck!
