This open call invites artists and movers to join Symbiotic Danscapes, a 4-week residential program dedicated to choreographic research, movement practice and collective creation in the forest landscape of Paleohori Eco-Art Space.

Three research workshops unfold throughout the residency, opening different approaches to choreography, performance and movement practice. Each practice is initiated by one artist and explored collectively within the group.

What the residency offers
• a 4-week immersive environment for choreographic and movement research
• three interwoven research practices initiated by participating artists
• the opportunity to engage more deeply with one practice while encountering the others throughout the residency
• daily movement practice and collective exploration
• time and space for artistic development in a forest landscape
• shared living and meals supporting a focused creative process

Together we explore questions such as:

• What if choreography serves the dancing body and its complexities?
• What if audience participation becomes a meaningful political gesture?
• What if dance is not something to be consumed, but a practice of being, becoming and encountering?

€980 The fee includes:
• full 4-week residency program
• all workshops and research sessions
