For the first time, Tangaj Collective launches an open call for a repertoire workshop that will take place May 25th – 30th, 2026, in Bucharest.
Where: Linotip-Independent Choreographic Center, Bucharest, Romania
When: May 25th-30th 2026
Deadline for applications: April 6th
We’re launching an open call for our first repertoire workshop in Bucharest, facilitated by choreographers Simona Deaconescu and Simona Dabija.
We’re looking for performers who are interested in joining future Tangaj Collective projects, and want to explore The Body Image Method, a movement practice we’re currently developing.
CONDITIONS
꩜ Participation is free of charge, based on selection. Selected artists will be informed by April 15th.
꩜ 16 spots available: 10 for dancers based in Romania, 6 for dancers residing in other European countries.
꩜ Selected participants residing outside Romania will receive travel and accommodation support up to 550 EUR (transport + shared twin room). Our team will take care of the bookings.
꩜ Following the participation in the workshop, at least two dancers will be selected for future collaborations with Tangaj Collective.
꩜ You can find details about the potential collaboration periods in the application form on tangajcollective.com
꩜ The call is open to everyone, but dancers interested in long-term collaboration with the collective may have priority.
THE BODY IMAGE METHOD
The workshop introduces a set of chrono-poetical tools that decentralize the body and place it in ongoing dialogue with its inner processes and the surrounding world. Participants explore cyborg forms of embodiment, moving beyond fixed ideas of anatomy, control, and identity.
