The Kaiafas Performance Residency is an international site-specific performance and live art residency taking place at Lake Kaiafas in the Peloponnese, Greece, from 9–12 July 2026. The four-day intensive programme invites artists, performers, dancers, students and interdisciplinary practitioners interested in performance and live art to explore relationships between body, place, movement and time through site-responsive artistic practices.

Participants will engage with the unique natural environment of Lake Kaiafas — a protected Natura 2000 landscape where lake, forest, sand dunes and coastline coexist — using the surrounding landscape as a starting point for artistic research and creative experimentation. Through practical sessions, collective exercises and individual exploration, participants will develop new performance works in dialogue with the environment.

The residency emphasises embodied research, collaboration and the development of spatial awareness through performance practices such as movement exploration, walking practices, field research, voice and body activation and collaborative scores.

Participation is limited to a small group of selected participants, allowing for focused artistic exchange and collective experimentation.
