David Zambrano offers a deep immersive training where dancers of the 50+ international group develop technical precision and improvisational awareness through the Flying Low technique and the collective composition practice of Passing Through.

This 4-week (20-day) intensive offers a deep, immersive learning experience in Flying Low and Passing Through, transmitted directly by David Zambrano. Participants are invited to dive into an extensive–intensive process that develops both technical precision and improvisational-compositional awareness. An additional Post-Intensive Passing Through Week is available, also to be joined by other ex-participants.

Flying Low is a movement practice focusing on the dancer’s relationship with the floor, using articulated patterns based on breathing, speed, and energy release to connect the center with the joints and enable efficient transitions in and out of the ground. Through skeletal awareness, spirals, and partnering work, dancers develop responsiveness, spatial perception, and the ability to move continuously through space while sensing the body and environment as an interconnected whole.

Passing Through is a collective composition practice where movement emerges through leaderless group dynamics, guiding participants through exercises that generate flexible, constantly evolving structures in motion. By moving together while remaining open to the unexpected, dancers develop the ability to respond instantly to their environment and make spontaneous compositional choices as improvisers, choreographers, and performers.

David Zambrano is an internationally influential dancer, improviser, and teacher who has shared his approach to dance in more than 75 countries and performed worldwide. Born in Venezuela, he spent 15 years in New York before settling between Amsterdam and Brussels, and in 2018 he co-founded Tictac Art Centre as an artistic home for research, performance, and cultural exchange.

Participation in this intensive is by selection. The first selection of participants will be announced on May 1, and the second round on June 15. After that, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the group is full.
