Jos Baker workshop “Integrated Dance Theatre Practice” is an embodied workshop that weaves together dance technique, improvisation, acting, and composition to cultivate expressive, articulate movers and performers. Participants will engage in physical training that emphasizes presence, musicality, and dynamic range, while exploring improvisational tools that deepen responsiveness, imagination, and choice-making. Acting practices support emotional clarity, intention, and narrative awareness, bridging movement and meaning. Through guided compositional tasks, dancers will experiment with structure, time, space, and collaboration, learning how to shape raw material into performative form. This workshop invites participants to integrate body, voice, and creative agency, fostering a holistic approach to dance theatre practice that is both rigorous and playful.
