House of IVONA, under the Artistic Direction of Pablo Girolami, launches a call for artists, companies and collectives under 35 to select two dance projects for artistic residencies in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy.
The call welcomes different approaches to dance and performance research, with particular attention to artists based in or originating from Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The two selected projects will undertake a residency of up to 7 days, to be completed by 31 December 2026, at one of two locations:
– Mulino Nicli – Rive d’Arcano (UD): a location provided by the organisation.
– Municipality of Fagagna (UD): a location proposed and identified by the selected artist or company.
Projects should demonstrate openness to site-specific research, engaging with the space and its context as part of the creative process. A completed performance is not required, but a public sharing of the research will be expected at the end of the residency.
Support provided: €1,000 gross per project, all-inclusive, plus accommodation for up to 2 people for the duration of the residency.
Selected projects may also be considered for inclusion in House of IVONA’s artistic programme in 2027.
House of IVONA, under the Artistic Direction of Pablo Girolami, launches a call addressed to artists, companies and collectives under 35 for the selection of two dance projects to be hosted for an artistic residency in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy.
The call is open to different languages, practices and approaches to dance and performance research, and welcomes projects exploring new forms and methods of creation, also through an engagement with the space and context in which the research is developed.
The selected projects may also be considered for possible inclusion in the activities and artistic programme of the Association during 2027.
Art. 1 – Purpose of the Call
This call aims to select two dance projects presented by artists, companies or collectives under 35, from Italy or abroad.
Particular attention will be given to artists, companies and collectives based in or originating from Friuli Venezia Giulia.
For each selected project, an artistic residency of up to 7 days will be provided, to take place during a period agreed upon with the organisation and in any case by 31 December 2026.
The two residencies will take place in two different locations within the area, according to the following arrangements:
Residency at Mulino Nicli – Rive d’Arcano (UD)
The residency will take place at Mulino Nicli, a location identified by the organisation and made available to the selected artist, company or collective for the entire duration of the residency.
The project will therefore be invited to engage with the specific characteristics of the Mulino and the context in which it is located, developing, where possible, a relationship between the artistic research and the host location.
Residency in the Municipality of Fagagna (UD)
The residency will take place within the Municipality of Fagagna. In this case, the selected artist, company or collective will be responsible for proposing and identifying the location in which they wish to develop their research.

biography of the artist, company or collective;
dossier/synopsis of the proposed project;
a brief description of the research proposal and of the possible ways in which it could relate to the space and context of the residency (maximum 1,000 characters);
any photographs and/or videos of the project, provided through YouTube or Vimeo links;
videos of previous works, provided through YouTube or Vimeo links.
