DanceMELD Platform 2026 is a month-long international platform for interdisciplinary dance, performance, improvisation, voice, text, sound, technology, objects, and choreographic research in Sofia, Bulgaria. Led by six Bulgarian and international choreographers, the platform invites dancers, performers, theatre and circus artists, and curious movers to join one lab, one week, or the full month.

DanceMELD Platform 2026 is a month-long international platform for dancers, performers, choreographers, theatre/circus artists, students, and curious movers who want to make performance with everything: body, voice, memory, skill, instinct, doubt, humor, attention, technology, and imagination.

Across 4 weeks, six Bulgarian and international choreographers open their practices as tools for interdisciplinary creation — working with improvisation, voice, text, sound, technology, visual material, objects, dramaturgy, acrobatics, contact work, and instant composition.

DanceMELD is part laboratory, part school, part gathering, part public experiment — a place to train, test ideas, enter artistic processes, meet other artists, and experience choreography as living and shared form.

June 8–13
Zornitsa Stoyanova(BG/US) — Polyphonic Dance / Future Love
Movement, text, voice, song, improvisation, and a new performance on love in an AI-littered world.

June 15–20
Silvia Cherneva(BG)— Useless Cabaret
Solo miniatures in styles and genres we are not experts in. Joy, lightness, and meaning beyond virtuosity.

Andrea Dragov(BG) — Everyday Things
Personal histories, archive, costumes, props, video material, and movement narrative.

June 22–27
Nora Gibson — Cyber Dance: Resonant Systems
Interactive performance with movement sensors, sound, real-time visuals, and embodied feedback loops.
&
Lucio A. Baglivo(ES) — Improvisation, Contact & Collective Composition
Improvisation, acrobatics, contact, voice, sound, personal material, and collective composition.

June 29–July 4
Galina Borissova — Total Theatre Lab
Dramaturgy, text, scenography, sound, dance, and theatre. “If you don’t have a masterpiece — start out with something else.”

Weekly labs conclude with public showings.
Language: English, with Bulgarian translation when needed

For: Dancers, performers, choreographers, theatre and circus artists, students, and interdisciplinary artists with previous movement/performance experience
