Radic’Arte announces the following open call for the selection of 2 performances by under-25 artists, collectives, and companies to be included in the 2026 edition of DIFFUSA, the contemporary dance festival of the Province of Alessandria, in Piedmont, now in its third edition and officially recognised by the Ministry of Culture and the Piedmont Region.
DIFFUSA aims to promote young creativity through a shared evening featuring the works selected through this call, to be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
The concept around which DIFFUSA will develop is that of Identity, inviting reflection on its many different facets:
• Territorial, cultural, and folkloric identity;
• The identity of the hosting venues;
• Identity as personal development;
• The encounter and exchange between identities and individuals through artistic relation and dialogue.
The Festival seeks to adhere to three guiding principles:
• Non-conventionality: both in terms of artistic languages and the innovative use of spaces;
• Interactivity: the program favours works in which the boundary between artist and audience becomes more subtle within the shared space of the performance;
• Relationship: fostered through formats, modes of audience engagement, as well as exchanges with the artists (meetings, talks, discussions).
The selected performances will be staged on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in the unconventional venue of the Serra at Ristorazione Sociale (Viale Milite Ignoto 1/a), Alessandria (Italy).
Timeline:
• Open call launch: May 7, 2026
• Application deadline: June 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM (CEST)
• Notification of results expected in early July 2026
• Event date: October 17, 2026, Serra di Ristorazione Sociale, Alessandria (Italy).

Required documentation:
• full biography of the artist or company/collective;
• synopsis of the performance;
• short biography and short synopsis (max. 700 characters each), to be used for promotional purposes;
• full video recording of the proposed performance, in the same version intended for presentation during the Festival, submitted via an online streaming link (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.). Downloadable video files will not be accepted;
• promotional video/trailer of approximately 1 minute in high quality, for promotional use, submitted via a downloadable link;
• images of the work: from 3 to 5 high-quality images, both horizontal and vertical format.
