Dance theater as public art. In this creative feast for dancers, choreographers, circus artists, and movers of many kinds — you will practice making courageous performances in alternative spaces.
Where: Baza Space, Mladost 4, Sofia, Bulgaria
When: 23 – 25 May, 2026
How can movement embrace distraction and help us learn about ourselves? How can we choreograph history and surprise into the same moment? What if a dance can connect viewers with each other and the world?
Led by visiting artist Adam Kerbel (Philadelphia/Los Angeles), Too Distracted To Dance examines risk and systems found in street-art, contemporary dance, and cultures of play to support choreographic invention one step at a time. Each session offers immediate tools for personal exploration, collaborative composition, and witnessing performance from unusual perspectives.
This workshop is a satellite to the international Antistatic Bulgarian Dance Platform.
