Phoenix 2026 is an intensive educational residency structured within a professional, company-style framework, culminating in a final gala performance in a theatre setting. Moving beyond the traditional workshop format, the program supports dancers in making informed decisions about their technical and artistic development.
Participants gain insight into professional working rhythms through daily technique classes, coached repertoire, and rigorous rehearsal processes. The program focuses on technical clarity in ballet (Vaganova and Cuban influences) alongside contemporary and modern dance practices, fostering artistic responsibility and providing a vital bridge between vocational training and professional life.

Recommended for dancers with a minimum of three years of training in ballet and/or contemporary dance. Age generally 13+.

— Performance ––
The residency culminates in the public SADA Dance Gala “Spotlight 2026” on 31 July 2026 at Theatre Odeïon Salzburg. Dancers perform ensemble and solo repertoire under full professional stage and technical conditions. Participation in the gala is mandatory for all course options.

SADA is committed to fostering a diverse learning environment. A limited number of targeted course-fee reductions are available for groups traditionally underrepresented in advanced dance training, including male-identifying dancers. Requests are treated confidentially.
