Two-week intensive choreographic residency in Rome for 6 emerging choreographers, creating new works with Fly Out Transition dancers.
Where: Rome, Italy
When: Variable: October 2026 and June 2027
Deadline for applications: August 31st 2026
Now in its seventh edition, RES.ART is a choreographic residency opportunity dedicated to emerging contemporary dance choreographers. The initiative offers selected artists the opportunity to develop an original work through an intensive creative residency in Rome, working directly with the dancers of FlyOut Transition.
Each residency is conceived as a professional creative process in which the choreography is developed in close collaboration with the company’s dancers. The resulting works become part of FlyOut Transition’s performance repertoire and are presented on stage on multiple occasions, offering choreographers a concrete opportunity to develop, test and showcase their artistic research within a professional dance environment.
Each selected choreographer will receive a €1,000 flat contribution to support their participation in the residency. In addition, free basic accommodation may be provided in the immediate vicinity of the studios for the duration of the residency (TBD with the selected choreographers).
