La Veronal has developed a distinctive language over the years. Marcos Morau has created a specific methodology to translate this style, which will be shared with the workshop participants. The method involves patterns of exercises, the creation of choreographic material, and the construction and final assembly of the scene.
The workshop will include both a class focused on the company’s technique and the learning of an excerpt from one of its pieces repertoire.
FIGHTING MONKEY

Technique: Fighting Monkey
This workshop is for professional dancers/performers and introduces you to the FM Practice universe, part of Natalia’s work since 2006. No prior experience is needed—only full-hearted engagement.
You will explore “movement situations”: irregular training methods that develop adaptability, strategic thinking, and creative response. Through imagined scenarios and complex, often improvised structures, we will refine movement quality and expand creative variability—artistically, professionally, and personally.
We will look at core principles of human motion and how stress and pressure influence perception, behavior, and action. Improvisation, imagination, and creativity will serve as key tools for problem-solving and adaptability.
Partnering will strengthen communication skills and bring valuable unpredictability to movement—enriching qualities, rhythm, and coordination. Through coordination tasks, tools, conditioning, and injury-prevention work, we will enhance focus, awareness, and overall system strength.
Together, we will break patterns, build new ones, and explore how to stay open to the new while remaining grounded.
