This free open class offers an introduction to choreographic creation in relation to architecture and site-specific practices, and presents the conceptual universe of FOCAR – Intensive Course in Choreography for Architecture.
The session includes two short classes, followed by a brief presentation of the FOCAR programme and its 2026 modalities.
Programme:
– Introduction (5 min)
– Ana Figueira – Percursos pela arquitetura: methodology of creation (20 min)
– Gustavo Ciríaco – Performing the (in)visible: site-specific practices in architecture (20 min)
– Presentation of FOCAR / Q&A (15 min)
The open class is aimed at dancers, performers, architects, researchers and artists from different disciplines interested in the relationship between body, movement and architectural space.
Participation is free and open to all.
