We are seeking a talented and passionate contemporary dancer or musician with movement experience for our upcoming young audience performance, “Todas as Gotas contam”(Every Drop counts)

“Todas as Gotas contam” is a new dance-theatre piece for young audiences (+6). The project invites reflection on children’s relationship with nature, focusing this time on water—an essential, vital resource that is often taken for granted. It aims to raise awareness about the water cycle, its preservation, and the role each of us plays in valuing this common good. We’ll be collaborating with the Centro de Ciência Viva in Aveiro to create some physics experiments on the transformation and how to reuse, conserve, and reinvent it—the water will travel from cups to the body, then exit as sweat and be collected to flow into a central bathtub—a metaphor for our daily water consumption.

Requirements
Background in contemporary dance or other dance styles, music experience/instrument is welcome but not obligatory
Ability and/or will to connect with young audiences
Collaborative spirit and willingness to contribute to the creative process
Availability for the entire rehearsal and performance schedule (see below)

Schedule

Rehearsals in PT: September 29 – 10 October, 2026
Rehearsals in BE: November 16 – 27, 2026, poss. to be postponed to 23/11-4/12
Technical rehearsals in PT: beginning of 2027 tbc
Premiere Torres Vedras: second trimester 2027, tbc with whole team
