Deadline for applications: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Early application is recommended, as places are limited.

Dance Vision is a professional vocational training programme at Salzburg Academy for Dance Arts for the academic year 2026/2027. It is designed for young dancers preparing for serious pre-professional or professional pathways in dance. The programme combines two pathway options with an individual artistic orientation, while maintaining common standards and a cohesive cohort experience. Training emphasises technical development, rehearsal practice, artistic responsibility, and continuity across the academic year.

The programme is intended for applicants who demonstrate commitment, consistency, and readiness for regular, structured training and rehearsal. It is open to dancers with an established foundation in ballet, contemporary dance, or both.

Two pathway options are available according to weekly training commitment:
– Full-Year Pathway: 5 days per week, approximately 11–15 training units weekly
– Compact Pathway: 3 days per week, approximately 6–9 training units weekly

Applicants may also indicate a primary orientation — Ballet, Contemporary Dance, or Balanced — as part of their individual profile.

The academic year concludes with Phoenix – Summer Intensive 2027 (July–August 2027), which serves as the final training phase of the academic year.

Entry requirements:
– Generally aged 15 and above
– Minimum of 3 years of consistent dance training
– Admission by audition (in person or via video)

Video audition guidance:
Applicants who are unable to attend in person may apply by video. The audition material should reflect the applicant’s main training background and current strengths in ballet, contemporary dance, or both. Applicants who identify their preference as Balanced are encouraged to include material from both areas. A full dance class is not required. Clear and concise excerpts are sufficient. One video link or one playlist link may be submitted, with a total running time of up to 20 minutes.
