When: 2027

Deadline for applications: 31st of May 2026

RedSapata Kunst-, Kultur- und Tanzinitiative is are looking for innovative, multidisciplinary projects that explore themes of intersectional and specifically queer feminism in relation to dance, art and creative processes, though we remain open to other themes related to nature, society, politics, and the body.  The selected artists will benefit from a supportive working environment, including studio space and optional accommodations (for max. 4 artists at a time, according to current room availability), to develop their artistic vision.  Below are the key details and focus areas for this residency opportunity:

Focus Areas
1. Intersectional Feminism
We are looking forward to artistic proposals, addressing urgent socio-political questions, with a focus on intersectional feminist perspectives. We encourage applications from bold artistic voices that challenge the status quo, make invisible positions visible. We invite artists to examine questions of identity, power, and representation across race, class, gender, and ability.

2. Queer Feminism
We are excited to support projects from artistic queer individuals that push boundaries and question norms through performance and visual arts. These works should foster exchange and critically engage with contemporary realities of queer women*. We are interested in projects that ask questions of fluidity, resistance, and the politics of the body. These applicants should investigate the evolving relationship between queer identity and artistic expression, and reflect on how queer feminism challenges and reimagines the boundaries of creativity and community.

3.  General Focus on Artistic Expression
We welcome a wide range of artistic proposals, focusing on projects that creatively engage with the contemporary world. Whether your work touches on societal dynamics,  climate, or political discourse, we encourage applications from artists who challenge norms and present fresh perspectives.
