FACE OFF – D.LAB
It is a professional training course in contemporary dance, conducted by Roberto Lori , with the support of the Il Vallato Foundation of Matelica (MC).

The project aims to accompany young dancers in the transition between basic training and professionalism, by intensifying professional opportunities.

The project will take place in the city of Matelica (MC) – Italy and is aimed at adult dancers who already have training in contemporary dance.

The training course will last 3 months:

– Starts January 15th and ends April 12th 2024.

– The lessons will take place at the Il Vallato Foundation space in Matelica (MC), from Monday to Friday with daily hours: 9.00 /16.30.

– Attendance is mandatory, only 10% of absences will be allowed and must be justified.

Participants will work on building a collective work, experimenting with the phases of the creative process, as well as being supported in the creation of their own choreography, with the intention of stimulating the creativity of each individual participant.

The works, created during the training course, may have the possibility of being selected to travel in one or more stages of the widespread Face Off Festival, 2024 edition (Lastra a Signa (FI); Aradeo (LE), Sarnano (MC), Marano Lagunare (UD), Matelica (MC), Corigliano-Rossano (CS).

A maximum of 15 participants will be selected.

Thanks to the support of the Il Vallato Foundation of Matelica (MC), n. 6 scholarships will be distributed as follows:

– n. 4 scholarships to cover the participation fee for the training project, in addition to accommodation for the entire period;

– n. 2 scholarships to cover the participation fee for the training project.

How to apply:
The candidates will be selected through an audition which will take place in December in Matelica in the space made available by the municipal administration.

Hours: Saturday 9th of December from 2.00pm to 6.00pm – Sunday 10th of December from 9.00am to 3.00pm.
