Clandestine immersive dining company Gingerline are looking for experienced dancers and physical theatre performers for their exciting new multi-sensory project. Audience members will be taken on a fantastical expedition around the world through the use of animated illustrations, dance, music, improvised theatre and food.

We are looking for versatile performers with experience in contemporary dance, physical theatre, improvisation and immersive theatre. Please note, that this is a dining experience and therefore roles will also have an element of food and drink service. Performers will be required to dance variety styles inspired by different country’s rich cultural traditions. We are particularly interested in meeting dancers that have experience in Brazilian Carnival dances, Japanese Odori dances and Russian Folk dances. Although full training will be provided by a group of specialist choreographers, please highlight if you have this experience.
Initial auditions will take place in a South- East London location on 11th September 2018 with recalls taking place the following week. The audition will involve learning a short piece of group choreography, followed by physical improvisation exercises and dancing a prepared 1-minute solo inspired by the project.
Rehearsals will take place Mon-Sat from 11th October 2018 with preview performances commencing 1st November 2018. Initially, performers will be contracted for a 3-month run with the option to extend. Performers are required to attend all rehearsals and preview performances.
Performances will take place in a secret North-East London location on the Victoria line and run Tuesday – Saturday evenings 7-11pm with a Saturday matinee 12-4pm. Performers are required to be available for all performances during their contract period.
Rehearsal and performance fee will be £450 per week.
