UNXE SUR DIX is a dance performance project that explores incest culture as a structural and systemic phenomenon. Its aim is to give body and voice to a subject I consider essential, while offering a sensory experience.
Looking especially for performers over 60 years old.
Where: Théâtre de Vidy, Lausanne, Switzerland
When: 28-29 November 2026
Deadline for applications: 14 November, 2026
Incest is both omnipresent and invisible in our societies. Invisible because it remains hidden, protected by a collective and institutional silence. Omnipresent because the data reveal a striking reality: according to a 2020 Ipsos survey conducted for the French association Face à l’inceste, more than one in ten people in France report having experienced incest. This represents approximately 6.8 million people in France. Behind these figures lie lives marked by profound trauma, often compounded by a lack of recognition, justice or support.
In my artistic practice, I now feel the need to address these realities, not only to raise awareness but also to encourage collective reflection.
My aim is to explore how our institutions, social practices and representations shape our perceptions and keep this subject in the shadows. The project seeks to question the mechanisms that make incest so difficult to name, listen to and fight against.
I am looking to collaborate with a group of exactly 10 people (in reference to the statistics mentioned above).
Who I am looking for:
– People of all ages (18 and over), genders, backgrounds and nationalities. People over 60 are particularly encouraged to express their interest in taking part.
– People with an advanced or proficient level of dance, or with substantial physical experience and the ability to memorise movement patterns in space. Depending on individual needs, the performance may include breaks and/or the option to sit on a chair.
– People interested in performing in front of an audience and in supporting the message of the piece.
– People available and committed to the rehearsal and performance dates.
– People living in Lausanne or the surrounding area (some rehearsals will take place in half-day sessions, with corresponding pay, and we cannot cover accommodation, per diems and travel expenses).
How to apply:
Rehearsals:
17–21 May 2027 — Théâtre de Vidy, Lausanne (with 4–5 performers)
31 May–4 June 2027 — L’Abri, Geneva (with 4–5 performers)
10–25 January 2028 — Théâtre de Vidy, Lausanne (with the full group, probably in half-day afternoon sessions)
Additional residencies may be scheduled.
Performances:
26–30 January 2028 — Théâtre de Vidy, Lausanne (exact dates to be confirmed)
Further dates to be scheduled at Pavillon ADC in Geneva.
The piece may also be presented in other regions with a local group of performers.
For me, this day is first and foremost an opportunity to meet in the studio, share some time working together and see whether we might be interested in working together.
If you are interested, please write to me at info@claradelorme.com by 14 November. In your email, please include a short summary of your background, either as a CV or a written introduction, as well as a dance video in which I can see you. If the video features a group, please describe yourself so that I can identify you. I will do my best to reply by 18 November.
I am very aware that applying for an audition can make us feel vulnerable, perhaps even more so when we have already been working as artists for some time, are developing our own projects, have gained a certain level of recognition within the field, or already know one another.
I have thought a great deal about how to put this group together, and ultimately, this format felt like the most appropriate one for this project. To share some of my thought process: given the subject of the piece, it felt important to put out an open call for expressions of interest rather than imagine the group that would carry the work on my own. So if the project resonates with you, I would genuinely be happy to hear from you, whether we already know each other or not.

I have not found a way to completely remove the sense of vertigo an audition can bring, but I would at least like this day to be an opportunity to meet, work together and, I hope, share a lovely moment.
