Ways of Seeing Festival 2026 invites dancers, choreographers, movement artists, dance students and curious movers to join its International Workshops & Professional Development Programme, taking place at the Athens Conservatoire in Athens, Greece.

Description of opportunity:
Under the Festival’s central theme “From Research to Creation”, participants will have the opportunity to engage with internationally acclaimed artists, choreographers and educators through intensive workshops, choreographic laboratories and arts & wellbeing activities.
The programme is designed for professional and pre-professional dancers, choreographers, movement practitioners and anyone interested in exploring creative methodologies, artistic research, performance, wellbeing and interdisciplinary practice.
Workshops include:
Choreographic Tools & Creative Methodologies with Christine Kono & Dimitrios Kraniotis (12h)
An intensive workshop exploring improvisation, embodied artistic research, choreographic composition and decision-making in real time.
From Idea to Stage: Artistic Research & Interdisciplinary Practice with Alex Kros (6h)
A workshop dedicated to the choreographic process, from the initial idea to stage composition, exploring dramaturgy, movement material and interdisciplinary creation.
The Last Human – Repertoire, Performance & Lighting Lab with Lila Zafeiropoulou & Christos Tsiongas (10h)
A unique opportunity to experience the transmission of repertoire and the relationship between choreography, performance and lighting design.
Contemporary Movement Practices with Noga Shary (6h)
A movement research workshop focused on contemporary dance practices, body awareness and creative exploration.
African Dance & Live Percussion with Anna Karamitsou, Kostas Zafeiropoulos & Eva Vardaka (6h)
An energetic encounter between African dance traditions and live music.
Open Arts & Wellbeing Sessions with Dimitra Filippaki (4.5h)
Participatory sessions connecting movement, creativity, wellbeing and cultural prescription.
Pilates for All with Elli Tsitsipa (3h)
Open classes focusing on body awareness, strengthening and healthy movement.
