Adi Schwarz Dance Project is inviting dance students in ages 18 and up to join a special Summer Creation Intensive, leading to the premiere of a new short piece performed at the DAP Festival, Pietrasanta, Italy

Where: Pietrasanta, Italy

When: 29 June 2026 – 8 July 2026

Deadline for applications: February 28th

This 11 days intensive offers young dancers the chance to take part in a real creation process guided by choreographer Adi Schwarz, working alongside Michele Simi (Italy). Together, they will develop an original contemporary work inspired by the work of Gustavo Velez and the music of Vita Zambetti that will be performed during the “XZ Generation” of DAP Festival Program on July 8th, 2026 at Chiostro di Sant’Agostino Pietrasanta

Unlike traditional short workshops, this program unfolds over a week and a half, allowing dancers time to dive deeper into the creative experience. The intensive focuses on artistic exploration: presence, interpretation, improvisation, and the balance between structure and freedom. Participants will be guided through a collaborative process in which their individuality and creative voice play an essential role.

The project is Coproduced with ARB Dance Company

How to apply:
In order to maintain a high artistic level within the group, and because this intensive is designed to create a new performance specifically for the participating students, entry will be through an open call. Dancers will be invited to submit an online application, after which a selection will be made to ensure the group is cohesive, committed, and fully suited for the creative process.
