When: March 31st – April 4th
Deadline for applications: October 14th
Celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Dance on Camera Festival by submitting your dance film for the opportunity to be screened in New York City from March 31–April 4, 2027!
As the world’s longest-running dance film festival, Dance on Camera celebrates the intersection of movement and film, showcasing innovative work from filmmakers around the world.
This year, we are accepting submissions across three programs:
Dance on Camera Festival: Open to dance filmmakers of all backgrounds and experience levels, showcasing creative and innovative approaches to dance on screen.
Emerging Artist Program: Presented in collaboration with Emerging Artist Resources (EAR), this program creates an accessible entry point for artists at the beginning of their dance filmmaking journeys. No prior professional dance film experience is required.
Student Program: Dedicated to current undergraduate and graduate students, as well as artists who were enrolled in a degree program when their film was created. This program offers students the opportunity to share their work beyond the classroom.
All three programs welcome international submissions and offer filmmakers the opportunity to present their work to New York audiences, connect with fellow artists, and gain exposure through an internationally recognized festival.
