The workshop “Body without organs and dead bodies”, led by the Brazilian choreographer Maura Baiocchi and the German director Wolfgang Pannek, invites us to practice and reflect on dance and spirituality in contemporary worlds of life. The starting point of the encounter is the dialogue between the concept of the expressive body in the “Theater of Cruelty” by Antonin Artaud and the Butoh dance of Tatsumi Hijikatas and Kazuo Ohnos. The workshop accompanies the performance of the play “Artaud, le Mômo” on the 2nd and 3rd of December in the Theaterhaus Berlin Mitte and is directed to artist and students of the Performing Arts (dance, theatre, performance) who want to explore and expand their expressiveness.
