Winter Tanz Workshops is a diverse program accessible to different levels and age groups and easy to combine with each other.
The first week starts with the internationally renowned choreographic assistant of Ohad Naharin, Hillel Kogan, who will be teaching the workshop Gaga / Dancers & Ohad Naharin’s repertoire this year, with Daria Faïn from New York, who will give the opportunity to explore her method of C O R E M O T I O N and with Rosalind Crisp, who shares her many years of experience to improvise with choreographic principles and tools.
Where: Tanzfabrik Berlin Kreuzberg, Möckernstr. 68, 10965 Berlin, Germany
When: 26.12.18 – 03.01.2019
For those who have been interested in the Seki method for the last time – working with the TanDen, center of the body and source of energy and movement – and for all new enthusiasts, there is the Workshop Dancing Between by Minako Seki. Following on from last year, you can also visit the Otto Ramstad’s workshop and get to know Steve Paxton’s Material for the Spine. Blenard Azizaj’s workshop is about building a vocabulary of movement that results from deliberately leaving our comfort zones. New to tanzfabrik this winter is the dancer and choreographer Mu-Yi Kuo, former Pina Bausch dancer, who applies principles of Feldenkrais to improvisation.
