Wavelength and Choreographic Conversation – part of PDSW’s online Dance & Technology Forum for artists, promoters and everyone curious about working creatively with technology.
When: Every Thursday morning (11am – 12.30pm GMT) from 8 October and Saturday 17 October (10am-12pm GMT)
With digital technology in our lives more than ever, what does this mean for our most physical art form?
Join PDSW online every Thursday morning (11am – 12:30pm) from 8 October to discuss and explore a different topic connected to dance and technology. From project design to re-thinking distribution, these open conversations invite us to look at current practice and explore how we can shape our creative future.
A practical Zoom session with Lea Anderson. Founder of the all fe/male dance groups The Cholmondeleys and The Featherstonehaughs in the 1980s, Lea Anderson remains a pioneer of the UK dance scene. Fast forward to 2020 and Lea has been experimenting with creative projects made for, and using, Zoom. Join Lea as she discusses her methodologies and asks the question- How is it possible to make a duet when you are not in the same location as your partner? This is a practical session for dance artists with enthusiasm and curiosity, interested in problem solving. You may never see Zoom the same way again…
Costs for participants: Donation only / £8
