The award-winning, Leeds-based company of Northern School of Contemporary Dance is seeking dancers for its 2022 programme.

VERVE is seeking exceptional emerging dancers to join the company in 2021/22. Create brand new work with international choreographers and restage a seminal work by one of the world’s most renowned artists.
Tour across the UK and Europe, grow your artistry with a variety of guest artists, develop teaching skills and participate in international exchanges with peers. In 2020/21 the company will present work by:
• AKRAM KHAN – VERTICAL ROAD, restaged by Akram Khan Company (postponed from 2020/21 to 2021/22)
• ALESANDRA SEUTIN – NEW WORK
• SITA OSTHEIMER – NEW WORK
Plus two VERVE Research Commissions by guest artists, to be announced
All dancers are enrolled on the 1-year MA in Contemporary Dance Performance, delivered by Northern School of Contemporary Dance and validated by the University of Kent.

Improvisation (3 mins)
Solo (3 mins)
Contemporary technique – set material (5 mins)
Ballet technique – set material (5 mins)
Verbal personal statement (3 mins)

Costs for participants: There is a non-refundable administration and application fee of £20. This is payable at the point you book your selected online audition date. There is no additional charge for recall auditions.
