Overview
Various Creations is looking for a performer to take part in their latest project, “[name tbc]”. “[name tbc]” is a physical theatre show that explores identity and coming into ones own as an individual, the highs and lows of the world today, and finding your identity as an individual whilst navigating who you believe you should be.
The selected performer will take part in 3 weeks of research culminating in a sharing. After this phase, Various Creations will be continuing the development of the work later in the year (approx. July 2024) and you will be considered for involvement in that should you still wish to remain involved in the project.
What we are looking for:
Strong contact work
Strong contemporary dance technique
Experience of working with text, and must be comfortable delivering text in a live performance
Improvisational skills with both movement and text
Although the role was initially intended for an AMAB (Assigned Male At Birth) person, Various Creations encourage applications from all people, as the role will be modified around who they are as a person. Fees & Additional Support
The fee you will be paid is broken down as follows:
£123 per day (inc. of holiday pay) in rehearsal
£100 per day (inc. of holiday pay) to cover travel time (if applicable)
Where necessary, Various Creations can provide accommodation & per diems, & can cover travel costs.

From these, applicants will be selected who will attend an in-person audition. You will be notified no later than 21st January 2024 whether you are invited to audition or not.
