Unscripted Space Festival invites dancers into three days of movement, improvisation and instant composition, guided by Judith Sánchez Ruíz, Julyen Hamilton and Rakesh Sukesh.

Unscripted Space Festival is a three-day immersion into improvisation, instant composition, and performance. This first edition celebrates one year of Unscripted Space — our monthly raw stage for spontaneous performance in Kassel — and brings this spirit into a focused and intimate festival format.

Each day is guided by one international renowned guest artist:
Judith Sánchez Ruíz, Julyen Hamilton, Rakesh Sukesh.

Morning and afternoon sessions offer time to enter each artist’s method and movement language — to research, explore and experiment. In the evening, the open stage allows participants to bring new tools directly into performance, keeping the work immediate and present.

The festival welcomes both professional and emerging dance artists who want to dive deeper into improvisation, explore spontaneous composition, and perform in a warm and attentive setting.


Workshops are held in English.
