Barcelona Dance Center and BCN CITY BALLET are dedicated to dance training for dancers who want to become professionals, or for dancers who want to enjoy this art, helping the personality and artistic development of young people.
The young dancers in training, work on general ballet techniques according to the Cuban school, preparing for exams, contests, and auditions. At the same time, they have the possibility of being part of BCN CITY BALLET, for scenic practice.
If you want to have a career in dance, choreography or dance methodology, there is no better place to learn than in Barcelona Dance Center. You will be instructed by best professionals of the Cuban school and guest teachers such as Julio Bocca, Laura Alonso, Hector Figueredo…
BDC offers a training program of two to four academic years. Different subjects are divided into 2 semesters in each course, and in two specialties: Classical dance and Contemporary dance.
BDC’s students will have the opportunity to be part of the center productions such as galas, shows, promotions, etc. That will allow to put the acquired knowledge into practice. In addition of being able to take part as BCN CITY BALLET trainee in its 2023-2024 program, working with teachers and international guests choreographers and the opportunity to work choreographies created especially for the company.
BCN CITY BALLET performs nationally and internationally.
Training: Monday to Friday, 36 hours/week.
The program starts in September and ends in July.
Depending on their technical level and artistic background, some students may be directly admitted into the second year.
