This workshop is designed for professional and advanced pre-professional dancers who are interested in work that fuses contemporary force with the kinetic precision of ballet and a highly collaborative process. Dancers will have the opportunity to work closely with artistic director Liss Fain and the LFD company dancers on learning, creating, and developing movement, and on discovering new tools for artistic development.

Where: San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, San Francisco, USA

When: September 15, 16, 17, 2017 // 12:30-4:30pm each day

Under Liss Fain’s guidance, dancers will develop the dynamic possibilities, personal expressiveness, and technical precision necessary for performance. Each day of the workshop is structured like a LFD company rehearsal, where dancers work with underlying concepts and stories to create movement from prompts, individualize movement phrases, and incorporate the range of perspectives that affect the performance of installation works.

Professional and advanced pre-professional dancers who are interested in LFD and the company’s work are encouraged to apply. Workshop dates: September 15, 16, 17, 12:30-4:30pm each day.

Applications accepted on a rolling basis. Deadline for early registration fee is August 18.
