The Crossing is a laboratory that integrates dance investigation, hiking and coexistence in nature.

The Crossing is a transformative nomad dance laboratory that integrates movement research, interdisciplinary art processes and the art of walking in synergy with the natural environment.

This holistic and integrative experience will take us to cross the breathtaking Route of the Volcanoes and reach the national park of La Caldera de Taburiente in the island of La Palma, Canary Islands. We will spend three nights sleeping outdoors.

During the hikes, we will facilitate psycho-somatic
exercises that are nourished by the environment and help us to raise our vital energy; deepening the existential and creative space we occupy in nature.

Once at the daily camps, using somatic protocols from Body Weather, partnering, meditation, voice
experimentation, writing and visual language; we will immerse ourselves in the richness and possibilities of the natural environment to inspire the manifestation of unique dances and interactions.

There will be specific times during the day for personal creative work, collective care, rest and sharing of participants’ realities.

This journey is open to people who want to experience dance, the art of walking and interaction in nature as creative and healing
processes.

Performing and visual artists, designers, therapists, researchers, scientists, musicians, writers and creatives from diverse backgrounds with or without experience will be able to
find and rethink working methodologies and inspiration in this process.
