Designed to support and enrich emerging dance professionals as they journey into the field, this intimate, in-depth intensive workshop is tailored for dancers seeking to push, discover, unravel, and expand their practices through Tom’s specific clarity in movement quality and choreographic form.

14:00 – 15:30 repertoire
15:30 – 16:00 reflection

Tom Weinberger
is an independent dancer, choreographer, and educator. In 2005, he joined Batsheva Dance Company under the artistic direction of Ohad Naharin and in 2012, he became a founding member of L-E-V directed by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar. He later became Rehearsal Director for L-E-V, staging their work on dance companies around Europe and North America. While with Bathsheva, Tom began choreographing within the framework of “Batsheva Dancers Create”, and in 2014 his first solo work won the International Solo Tanz Theater Festival (Stuttgart) which continued to tour through South America and Europe. Tom has gone on to create works for critically acclaimed companies such as GoteborgsOperan Danskopnai, NDT2, Luzerner Tanz Theater, Iceland Dance Company, NSP2 (Norway), Ate9, and more. As an educator, in the last 15 years Tom, has been teaching and staging in institutes such as Netherlands Dans Theater (2009 – 2019), Springboard dans Montreal, B12, Arts Umbrella, SF Conservatory of Dance, The Maslul Bikurei Haitim, Gaaton Workshop, Taipei School of the Arts, Jerusalem Academy, Hollins MFA Program, Gaga Intensives, NOD, Ballet Akademin Stockholm, Suny Purchase, Tanz mainz, Garteplatz and more.
