Award-winning Choreographer/Director Sarah Elgart is launching a 3-day Screen Dance Intensive to be held at Electric Lodge in Venice, CA from April 6  – 8, 2018. Designed for dancers, choreographers, and directors, this 3-day Screen Dance Intensive provides an in-depth introduction to and hands on experience of creating compelling movement content for camera. From screenings and discussion to creating, filming, and editing material, participants expand their own visual style and gain exposure to the international genre of Screen Dance, as well as the power & possibility of using this content on all promotional platforms.

This three-day intensive experience includes:

–       Introduction to the international genre of Screen Dance from commercial to creative

–       Take away of professionally shot footage of each participant’s work for use on creative & promotional platforms

–       Intro to capturing dance on film, including coverage, editing, lighting and more

–       Choreography for camera: what works & what doesn’t

–       “Setiquette”: How to navigate and basic terminology for working on a film set

–       Participation in the creation of an original Screen Dance work

–       Special guests from the worlds of dance and film & much more
