“Rôles de danse” is a connected dance experience inspired by the masquerade ball, in which each player embodies one of about fifteen roles, with the coaching of a digital agent.

Where: Maison des Métallos, 94 Rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud, 75011, Paris, France

When: The 8th of July 2025, from 15:30 to 17:00

Deadline for applications: The 7th of July

Orbe and ICKAmsterdam invite you to step into a 30-minute Rôles de danse session—an immersive experience where movement becomes language. Like at a masquerade ball, you’ll slip into a secret role, known only to you. A voice will guide you throughout, adapting to your language, your body, your rhythm. It listens to how you move, how you connect to space, and how you relate to others.
Here, dance isn’t about being watched—it’s about living your role from the inside. Each gesture starts with an intention. You act, respond, and express yourself through the body, in a space where others are also moving, sensing, and revealing their own stories.
Inspired by the ICK company’s choreographic practices, Rôles de danse is a space to explore: roles unfold, gestures flow freely, energy circulates. You’re invited to leave behind expectations and embrace the unknown.
No fixed roles. No set genders. Just freedom. You’ll explore new characters, tap into unexpected parts of yourself, and share a collective moment where bodies speak, and new worlds emerge.
