When: December 27-31, 2021

Join VIM for an immersive five-day intensive to ring in a brand-new era for 2022.

As active artists at the University of Michigan, we are thrilled to welcome you into a state-of-the-art facility in beautiful Ann Arbor. Our training platform nurtures professional dancers with years of experience alongside artists seeking to expand the range of their technical and performance capability. This is an advanced program, and we find that positive encouragement in tandem with creative modifications will allow all to pursue their practice fully. VIM VIGOR’s original dance theater methodology will invite you to tap unused resources in your theatrical and movement perspectives, explore the physical and emotional lines of partner work, and consider narrative devices as an additional resource for your improvisational and compositional approaches. We also value the necessity of each dancer’s wellbeing and begin and end our days with different forms of bodywork.

10am-12pm: floorwork practice
12pm-12:30pm: lunch / community chat
12:30pm-2pm: partner play and exploration
