Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance are seeking a capable and experienced academic to lead the MSc and MFA Dance Science programmes at Trinity Laban and who would contribute to the teaching of the programme modules.

The postholder(s) will join the team of dance science researchers and lecturers at Trinity Laban and work alongside other eminent academics and artists, and where appropriate contribute to teaching on the other postgraduate/undergraduate programmes, including as a supervisor on the research degree programmes. Applicants are invited to consider any of the areas of teaching (listed at appendix 1) that match their expertise and interests advising in their application the areas to which they would be interested and qualified to contribute.

Trinity Laban will shortly be launching its new BSc Dance Science programme, to commence in September 2019. We would expect the Programme Leader MSc/MFA Dance Science to take a leading role in the teaching and continuing development of this programme. You will therefore be a dynamic and experienced academic, able to continue to develop our world-leading profile in Dance Science. The appointment will be made on either a 0.6 or 0.8 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) basis, according to the areas of teaching to which you would contribute. It is expected that the FTE would be augmented in 2019 when the BSc programme commences.

The Programme Leader will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management and day-to-day running of the MSc and MFA programmes, ensuring they continue to be attractive, relevant and reflecting the needs of the field, and maintaining their currency in the wider field of postgraduate dance education. You will report to the Head of Dance Science and Head of Dance Programmes and work closely with other Programme Leaders and relevant academic departments.
