The P.O.R.C.H. Performance and Choreographic Synthesis Module (//The end of Choreography as we know it//) is a three-week-long intensive training for aspiring performers and artists. The program gathers knowledgeable practitioners and choreographers to offer their perspective on movement and on the role, that performance and choreography plays in the here and now.
Where: Ponderosa, Germany
When: 8.–31. August 2018
This module is a focused place for research, both for art-making and for communal living. There is space given to widen, soften, refine one’s dance; there is room for partying; there is room for making good use of one another as witnesses, audience, playmates; there is space in the studio, in the garden, in the forest, in the water…
The module is facilitated by Stephanie Maher, Peter Pleyer, and Maria Scaroni, who will establish group awareness and feedback tools, and decipher performance materials and their necessity. The program also includes the following workshops:
– ‘Technosomatics’ – with Frederic Gies
– ‘The intimacy of Being Human – Harmonising Body Energies by Dance and Touch’ – with Robert Steijn and Ricardo Rubio
– ‘Inter-relational Mobile Architectures’ — Benoît Lachambre
It also will occur in parallel with other events that will be part of the Tanzland Festival, happening alongside the P.O.R.C.H. Performance and Choreographic Synthesis Module, in an old farmhouse in the beautiful countryside of rural Brandenburg, Germany.
