Applications are now open for participants for the third annual Oulu Dance Hack. Places are available for dancers, choreographers, performance artists, circus artists, technology specialists, musicians, stage designers, media artists, directors, in fact: anyone who is interested in learning about how technology can enhance performance and performance can enhance technology.

ODH18>BODY INTERFACE will take place in Oulu, Northern Finland, from 22-24 August 2018, with an optional workshop day (an introduction to creating interactive systems with Isadora) for participating artists on Tuesday 21st, and potential for extra performances in the evening of 24th (tbc).
ODH is a creative space where artists come together to explore the relationship between movement and technology. The process is supported by a range of equipment and mentoring. It takes place in the well-equipped dance studios of Oulu University of Applied Sciences and involves a group of students from the dance and media departments.
Tuesday 21.8 – daytime: Introductory Workshop – learn how to process data with Isadora to create body-responsive systems. No previous experience required.
Tuesday evening: Social Event – screenings, performance, food, sauna and VR creative space.
Wednesday & Thursday: Studio Sessions – Split into groups and choose equipment, simultaneous development of movement/sound/visuals/
Friday 24.8: setting up public access, rehearsal and performance.
The Oulu Dance Hack is free to attend, but places are limited.
