Kseij Dance Company, an emerging youth contemporary dance project company, based in Genoa (IT), and the Artistic Director Alekseij Canepa in collaboration with UISP COMITATO TERR.LE GENOVA APS, are looking for a young choreographer to create a new piece to be included in the repertoire of the company.

Kseij Dance Company, an emerging youth contemporary dance project company, based in Genoa (IT), and the Artistic Director Alekseij Canepa in collaboration with UISP COMITATO TERR.LE GENOVA APS, are looking for a young choreographer to create a new piece to be included in the repertoire of the company.
Only applications from choreographers aged between 18 and 35 will be accepted.
Each candidate can submit a single choreography project (existing or new).
The artist must be able to present, in addition to the artistic idea and the creative imagination, a concrete vision indicating the development of the creative and production process of his own choreographic idea.
Required duration of the choreography: about 15 20 minutes.
With regard to the project to be developed during the residency period, the selected choreographer will also be able to have artistic consultancy and support in all the stages of setting up the project that will lead him to his debut in the theater.
The period of creative residency will be agreed with the winning choreographer of the call.
The selected choreographer will get:
– A cash prize of € 400.00
– Coverage of travel, board and lodging costs in Genoa during the creation period
– Possibility to hold a workshop in Genoa (unpaid-part of the prize)
– Insertion as a judge in a dance competition organized by U.I.S.P. Genoa

• Portfolio with projects carried out as a choreographer (pdf format)
• Description of the proposed project (Maximum 600 words – pdf format)
• Video of the proposed job or at least one previous job.
The videos must be contained on an external server (youtube, vimeo) and the access credentials must be indicated if necessary.
