Welcome to the Mafra Dance Festival, an annual festival that takes place in Mafra (Portugal) over three days in May.
The festival is organized by the Amalgama Dance Company of Portugal, through its structure Amalgama Cultural Association, with the support of the Mafra City Council.
Founded in 2022, the festival has become a stage for artists of all ages and nationalities to showcase their work – from emerging talents to renowned performers.
The Mafra Dance Festival follows a hybrid format:
*One day dedicated to workshops
*One day for video dance screenings
*One day for live performances
It is a diverse and comprehensive event that celebrates art and promotes artists in their various approaches to Contemporary Performative Dance.
