Nartaki Dance Residency is an Indian Performing Arts training and performance program in North Goa, India.

Nartaki is a dancer who is a complete embodiment of culture. The dancer is seen as the essence of art and the manifestation of energy. While the dancer is human, he/she has the medium to transport the soul to transcendental heights of bliss.

Nartaki Dance Residency was created with the intention to offer a unique and inclusive space for holistic training and practice of Indian Dance & Music, and Yogic Arts in North Goa, India.

Nartaki Dance Residency vision is to honor and preserve the ancient traditions and philosophies of India. Our mission is to reach the world community who dream to travel to India to learn its rich Performing Arts Culture in a safe and holistic environment. We will honor the traditions, philosophies and teachings yet, give space for the student to express and work on their true language in dance.

The program includes intensive training and research in Yoga & Meditation, Somatics & Body Conditioning, Odissi, Classical Indian Dance, Odissi Music, Raag&Kirtan, Kalaripayattu – Martial Art, Modern Dance, Folkloric and Fusion Dances.

The afternoons are dedicated to lectures on the history, culture and philosophy as well as, choreography and performance rehearsal.

Where?

Jungle Dance Goa is a community run space consisting of 3 dance studios, cafe, permaculture projects, swimming pool and accommodation all set within a vibrant and visionary community of Arambol, North Goa.
Nartaki Dance programs will take place at the Jungle Dance Theatre studio.
We are nestled within the jungle, near the Arabian sea, the perfect nourishing environment for rigorous training and study.

For who?

We invite applications from yogis, movement and performance professionals, dancers in training and those returning to dance, recent dance graduates, and anyone who wishes to dive into intensive training in Indian Performing Arts in India.

* Initiation: DIKSA 75h/14days : January 19th – February 1st : 500 EUROS

* Essence of Initiation: DIKSATATTVA 110h/21days : February 16 – MARCH 7th : 750 EUROS

* Fruit of Initiation: DIKSPHALA 75h/14days : MARCH 22nd – APRIL 4th : 550 EUROS

* CID Nartaki Diploma -DIKSANA : FULL SEASON : 1500 EUROS

– 5 hours training p/ day

Accommodation and Meals| Booked separately and subject to availability.

Since we are not the only Dance Residency taking place during the season, accommodation availability is subject to the moment of registration. In the eventuality of non availability of rooms, around Jungle Dance Goa there are housing and room options and we will guide you on booking resources.

Meal Plan: 600 INR p/day | 3 Indian Vegetarian Meals, refreshments throughout the day and filtered water refill.

Hut with shared bathroom
Single Occupancy: 200 INR p/day
Double: 400 INR p/day

Our program for Indian Performing Arts training is a new visionary project for North Goa, India. We aim to empower dancers, movers, artists, seekers through the medium of research and study on the ancient cultures of India. All are welcome, irrespective of nationality or economic background.
