Adhyaya, our festival of dance which brings together cutting-edge work inspired by tradition and culture, opens its doors to artists and work from across the world – artists whose work brings the traditional to today’s audiences by telling ancient stories in newer ways.

Since its inception, Adhyaya has invited and presented numerous such artists and works from across the world to India – work that is breaking boundaries and which brings innovation in tradition. We are looking for cutting-edge work to be showcased at Adhyaya 2018 which:
– Has a strong influence of tradition – tangible or intangible
– Is co-created with another art form – visual arts, fine arts, tangible art, folk art, etc
– Is new age and modern in treatment and outlook
If you have a piece of work which meets the aforementioned criteria, then please apply until 15th July 2018. Selected artists get to perform in India, to an audience of dance enthusiasts and purists, all of who come together to enjoy the season of dance. One selected dance piece will also be developed into a dance film, which will be used on our social media channels.
What the festival will offer:
– venue and technicals for the performance
– a nominal performance fee
– travel to and from Bangalore
– accommodation for the festival days
